Good day, Beautiful Women of Wisdom; it is all about you and us, and most certainly, it is all about our Lord and Saviour, Jesus the Christ.
This week let's focus on a Value for the week; my focus this week is Self-Reliance, meaning I will focus on myself in prayer, fasting, and talking with someone more intelligent and wiser than me.
As the Lord leads, I will follow.
A value or ethic is a principle or standard about what is crucial in one's life. Therefore, Christian values are the principles that a follower of Jesus Christ holds as essential—the principles of life that Jesus taught.
Righteous self-reliance includes faith in and dependence on the Savior. Proverbs 3:5–6: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Ralph Waldo Emerson did not believe in maintaining consistency but advised that every man should follow their courage and have self-trust. (Self-trust that is center in Christ) He thought people should have spirit and trust in their opinion and genius. He believed one could only live well if they believe in God and their spirit and are not afraid to show variety. "Be yourself; no base imitator of another, but your best self. There is something which you can do better than another." Ralph Waldo Emerson, 'Self-Reliance.'
What is your value for the week? Below is a list to help you decide your focus for the week.
"One of the easiest ways to identify values is to ask yourself questions like:"
What is important to me?
What would a perfect day look like? What values are represented in this choice?
What do I spend my free time on?
What do I enjoy doing?
What would I do if there were no limitations?
A few Values we explore and strive to live by as W.O.W
Service.
Thankfulness.
Compassion.
Endurance.
Creativity.
Justice.
Peace.
Wisdom.
Have a great week!!!
I love you, MiMi
